Tommyknocker Brewery

Our day trip to Mt. Evans wouldn't be complete without a trip to Tommyknocker Brewery in Idaho Springs, CO.  The brewery started in the 1800s when Idaho Springs was a mining town.  We sat in the bar with a great view to the actual brewery, sampled beers and snacked on some pretty decent pub fare.

Their very generous flight is 10 - 5 oz. pours - (yep, just over 3 pints!) and lucky for us, the seasonal selection was their pumpkin ale.  Favorites include the Pick Axe IPA Ale and the Tundrabeary Summer Ale (fruity!).  Clearly a favorite hangout of locals and tourists alike, Tommyknockers wasn't a bad place to spend a Saturday afternoon!
