Catfish Brewing Company was named after Olga the cat. While she doesn't enjoy drinking the finished product, she is our resident quality control and supervises every batch produced. Yes the idea for putting catnip in beer has come up - hops and catnip aren't too far removed! However, for the time being at least, we have managed to restrain ourselves!

Founder and head brewmaster, Mike, really enjoys Belgian craft beers. Wanting to try new flavors that he just couldn't find in local bars or liquor stores, Mike decided to try his hand at home brewing. The first beer, Fat Fanny Ale, was brewed with honey and alfalfa sprouts. It wasn't a bad start and Mike quickly became hooked on home brewing.
We hope you enjoy the beer coming out of the Catfish brewery. We don't have fancy equipment or expansive storage facilities. What we do have is a passion for good beer and a curiosity that can only be cured by brewing more beer!
